#5228: Sapporo Ichiban Min-Min Ramen Shop Hachoji Shoyu Ramen - Japan

Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These boxes are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “Let’s take a break from the scares and head to Tokyo for some tasty cup ramen! This cup comes from the shop Min-Min Ramen, which is famous for its Hachioji shoyu ramen! Take a break and enjoy tasty noodles in a broth with savory pork and sweet onion flavor!”

Interesting – I don’t know why but the colors made me think this was gonna be a wakame variety – let’s try!

Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of liquid soup base.

Loose bits and seasoning from the cup.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added narutomaki, sesame seed, chashu, scallion, and S&B Umami Garlic Crisp. Noodle was pretty good stuff – lots of it as well. Broth was interesting; like a shoyu with a tinge of acidic tanginess that worked well. Veg was alright and oiliness was good. Was it ‘great?’ It was alright. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4901734055068.

Amazon – This is a nice one
