Pretty stoked – found this locally in Kirkland (no, not Costco, but the city of which is where Costco started, actually) at a coffee shop/store called Kitanda. What’s kind of a bummer though is that caldinho de feijao is a creamy black bean soup and what it appears is a standard garnish is nothing I have in my kitchen. Hmm… Well, I’ll make do with what I’ve got .

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle block in 400ml boiling water for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.

A lone sachet.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried onion. The noodle is pretty good – very standard instant noodle gauge. The broth was interesting; salty and tasty with a definite black bean thing going on; kind of had a slight grit that you find with beans. I think cilantro and sour cream would have really paired well, alas, I am bereft of such and there’s lots of snow outside holding me hostage. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 7891079013809.
