#4063: Nissin Tokyo Abura Soba - Japan

Here’s a fancy one from Japan found in a Zenpop box – check out zenpop.jp and use the coupon code RAMENRATER for a discount!

Here’s what they had to say about it – “This is the official “abura soba” from the biggest abura soba group in Japan…Tokyo Abura Gumi Souhonten. They don’t mess around.

“Abura” is oil and it’s the seasoning in this style of soupless ramen (abura soba). In this instant version, the abura is part soy sauce and part pork lard. But in this newly upgraded version, they’ve even added a deliciously creamy egg seasoning as well. Enjoy the crunchy spring onions and the seaweed / sesame garnish!”

Looks fancy to me! Let’s check this one out!

A dry sachet.

A clear sachet with garnish.

A smaller sachet with a liquid inside.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg yolk, shichimi, spring onion, sesame seed, and mung bean sprouts. Exceptionally good noodles with a nice chew and gauge – very high end. The flavor is a salty and savory one with a thick saucy nature. Delightful and fascinating and easy to score. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4902105266083.
