Halloween 2021 – Sriracha Ramen Franken #ramenbread

Well, shoot. This was going to be super awesome – at least that was the plan. I had a box of nice Aces Sriracha Ramen Noodle Soup bowls and I thought hey – let’s make some flour out of the noodles and a neat load of pure #ramenbread. Well, it didn’t work out and when I realized that, I started adding things…

Ingredients

  • 4 Aces Sriracha Ramen Noodle Soup bowl noodle blocks
  • 3 soup base sachets from Sriracha Ramen Noodle Soup bowls
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chocolate milk
  • 1/4 cup Huy Fong Chili Garlic sauce
  • a lot of water
  • active dry yeast

Method

NOTICE

Due to care for the general public, the way I made this won’t be shared in any way, shape, or form other than the video. This really isn’t something anyone needs to recreate for any reason other than use as a weapon, and I’m a card carrying Pacifist. At least when it comes to food. Food must do no harm, and this was doing harm to food.

Results

The loaf. It was squishy, but did stay together. Unfortunately, the egg to water to flour ratio didn’t work. I think that using ground circular blocks has something to do with it; I don’t know. Perhaps soy lecithin as an emulsifier might yield better results and less rubbery bouncy breads.

Finished (click to enlarge). Sliced a slice of bread into small pieces. Drained a prepared bowl of Aces Sriracha Ramen Noodle Soup (chicken flavor) and fried in oil. Added bread pieces. Added 2 beaten eggs. Added eyeballs. Added finely sliced spring onion and serrano pepper. Added sauce that looked kind of like Huy Fong Sriracha. Added more serrano and spring onion. This shouldn’t be made again. To do so would bring darkness upon the earth forever. As I say in the video, just make these noodle bowls as per directions – they’re really quite tasty and tangy. This didn’t go well – fun, but not well. Jappy Halloween!
