Decided to start off the week with a couple Sau Tao varieties today (you should be seeing the second one tomorrow). They sent a ton for a Meet The Manufacturer series (okay, not a literal ton – just 400lbs of samples). Let’s check out their QQ Rice Vermicelli!

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp. To prepare, add vermicelli to 600ml boiling water for 2 minutes. Add in sachets. Finally, stir and enjoy!

A dry sachte of soup base.

A wet sauce sachet.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added Thai basil, spring onion, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, egg, sesame seed, pepper flake, and chili oil. The vermicelli came out nicely – this and soft – and it went well with the broth. The broth isn’t overpowering and really fit the bill. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.  UPC bar code 08730386248.
