#3485: Taihodien Restaurant Spicy Sesame Noodles - Taiwan

Here we are, yet again. It’s hard – I really like the packaging at least. I’ve tried two of these Taihodien varieties and hoping this will be one I like. Thus far, they’ve been just to violently filled with Sichuan pepper. Just mean stuff! Hopefully for them the third time is the charm. Let’s give ’em a go.

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Mentions being Vegan friendly on the packaging but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles in 1200ml water for 6 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.

A wet sachet of sesame paste.

A wet sachet of soy sauce most likely.

A wet sachet of spicy oil.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added spring onion, Flybyjing Sichuan Chilli Crisp, sesame seed,  and an egg. Noodles are great – good gauge and sturdy chew. The sesame paste flavor mixed well with the Sichuan pepper oil and was definitely my favorite of the 3 I’ve had thus far. It’s still strong, but works nicely with other components. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 4710405920075.
