Note – I prepared this incorrectly, however in an upcoming review it is prepared correctly.
The pack version I tried a little while back and wasn’t too impressed. It wasn’t bad, but the spicy creamy action has gone pretty far in recent years. Carbonara, creamy carbonara, rose, etc and now the toomba variants. Don’t get me wrong I like creamy noodle action a lot, but I really like unique flavors and it seems the popularity of one begets another… and another, and so on. I must say though, varieties Nongshim has done and made in this style of tray have been really good in my opinion vs the packs. Let’s see how it goes.
Nongshim Shin Ramyun Toomba Stir Fry (Soup) – United States

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, fill to line with room temperature water and sachet #1 and microwave 4 minutes. Add in sachet #2. Finally, stir and enjoy!

An instant noodle block.

The powder base #1.

The powder base #2.

Loose bits and seasoning from the cup.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion, sesame seed, crushed red pepper, and chashu. So I couldn’t see the fill line and apparently, added too much water – the redo should be below, however I’ll give my thoughts on this as I prepared it. It’s got a great noodle to start with. The broth is actually rather nice, even though more ample than it should be. Creamy with a light spiciness and honestly a decent amount of flavor. I liked it this way, although incorrect. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 031146023387.
Amazon – Bowls too? Need one of these to review!
