
This one was hiding in my meager hamper stash – found it at S*Mart in Bellevue, Washington. First off, this is a cold noodle – good for during hot weather – which we’re getting toward as the day I’m reviewing this is the last day of spring. You can steam these or microwave them – and the latter sounds like the easier option. I am making this on the last day of school for the kids. Egad. Let’s get started.
Baoji Gan Mian Pi Xiangwei Shizu Baobao Cold Noodle – China

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, rinse noodles for ten seconds in cold water then microwave for 2 minutes. Shake and rinse to prevent sticking. Add in sachet contents, stir and enjoy!

The noodles are in this tight bundle.

Definitely a spicy sauce.

A pair of these sachets which they call ‘liquid compound seasoning’ – water, salt, and MSG.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, crushed red pepper, shredded chicken and shredded cucumber. This stuff is great! Microwavable liangpi – how wonderful! Easy to prepare, that’s for sure. Nice, cold, chewy noodle. Flavor was a tangy spicy one with nice savoriness. Really impressed. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars.. EAN bar code 6970364640065.
