Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These boxes are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “The Poké-party continues with a tasty ramen pack! This pack combines thin, curly ramen noodles with a savory, thick yet mild shio tonkotsu (salt & pork bone) broth and extra umami with accents of kelp boiled into the broth! Add the special pepper for extra flavor!”
I’m not seeing special pepper – more like a sachet of sesame seed. Either way it sounds rather nice. Let’s give it a try Pokémon style.
Sapporo Ichiban Pokémon Shio Tonkotsu Ramen – Japan

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains chicken and pork. To prepare, boil noodle for 3 minutes. Add sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.

A sachet of sesame seeds.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, egg, narutomaki, LKK Chiu Chow Chili Crisp, and scallion. Noodle is a standard gauge fried noodle – very run of the mill butt nice. The broth is like a thin tonkotsu and really has a nice flavor. The included sesame seeds are great. All in all, very basic – but for basic, it’s great. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4901734043720.
