#5311: Happysnail Liuzhou Snail Rice Noodles (Crayfish Taste)

First, big thanks to James from Lakeside California for sending this. So, I’m generally not a huge fan of river snail noodle, however this one seems like it’s been very popular. There’s a tom of sachets. A ton. Let’s give it a go.

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains snail. To prepare, boil rice noodle for 10 minutes and drain. Boil 500ml water and add everything in and cook 2 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Modulated rice noodle.

A sachet of liquid soup base.

Ah snail soup base.

A sachet of seasoned oil.

Pickled bamboo shoots.

Pickled cowpea and radish.

A big sachet of peanut and yuba.

Jew’s ear mushroom.

Finished (click to enlarge). Didn’t add anything. Well. The noodle was a chewy one – thick rice noodle. The rest of it was like a ride on a roller coaster to hell. The pickled veg and other things were just plain gross. The broth was very oily and the snail flavor… When I was a kit, my father worked for the post office as a clerk and also sorted mail. He had these rubber things he’d put on his thumbs. Well, they would get dirty from ink from the mail. When that happened, they smelled weird. That smell is what this reminds me of and it isn’t pleasant. If you like this style noodle, you’ll probably find it very good. Personally, I disliked it – I wanted to like it too. 0.0 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 6970006620530.

Amazon – I’m not kidding – energy balls for snail and crayfish
