I think the last time I had this is was called Five Flavors Beef or Five Spice Beef – that was a long time ago let me look it up…
Okay so 2136 looks like this one but it’s Roast Beef flavor – not artificial. Ahh here’s what I was thinking of – review 73! Over ten years ago! Wonder if it’s the same. That was a lot of noodles ago… Let’s give this one a try!
Nissin Demae Ramen Roast Artificial Beef Flavor – Hong Kong
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add everything to 500ml boiling water and cook 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dry sachet of soup base.
A wet paste sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Chinese sausage, coriander, sesame seed, and chili flake. The noodles are standard fare for this range – a nice mouthfeel and standard gauge with a light tooth. The broth has a very satisfying beefiness to it that makes it quite palatable. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 489878000104.
