#2038: A1 Vegetarian Herbal Noodle

Here’s one my sister got me up in Canada for my birthday! Thanks! In 2015 when I went up to Canada, I saw this one but didn’t get it since I thought I had it in my hamper awaiting review. Well, I didn’t and luckily they still had it in stock at PriceSmart Foods up in Richmond, BC when my sister went. Vegetarian time! Let’s check it out.

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add sachet contents to 450ml water and bring to a boil. Add noodle block and cook for 3 minutes. stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.

The seasonings sachet.

Has a nice scent.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added tau pok, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, star anise and crushed red pepper flake. The noodles had a good gauge which I liked. The broth has a strong herbal kind of thing going on which didn’t please me so much unfortunately; Just seemed a little off to me and I can’t put my finger on why. 1.5 out of 5.0 stars.
