Meet The Manufacturer: #2341: Nissin Cup Noodles Sopa Nissin Sabor A Carne De Res - Mexico - The Ramen Rater - fideos instantanea

Time for some beef! I’ve noticed that kind of like in the US, there are only a scant few pack noodle varieties and most varieties are in cups. Cups are great since they’re portable, have their own container to eat out of, and are easily disposed of. Let’s check out this beef variety.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added beef, jalapeno, bell pepper and onion I sauteed with carne asada seasoning and some queso fresco. The noodles are the standard Cup Noodles ones I’ve seen throughout these reviews – thin and of good quantity. the broth has a nice beef taste and the vegetables hydrated very well. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. #836: Binh Tay Mi Chay Vegetarian Instant Noodles

This is different – usually you don’t see a clear window in on the noodle block inside! Let’s have a try with this one.

Back of the packaging (click image to enlarge).

A dense noodle block.

Powder seasoning.

Has a sweet and onionny taste.

Seasoned oil.

Has a nice scent.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added a little Huy Fong Sriracha chili sauce. The noodles are light and quite plentiful. Kind of remind me of the kind you would find in a cup noodle except of higher quality. The broth is pretty good! Has a nice onion and other vegetables taste to it. Decent stuff! 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. #497: Nissin Demae Iccho Instant Macaroni In Soup Seafood And Abalone Flavour

My sister brought these back for me from Canada a while back and I’ve been coveting them for a special occasion. I thought closing in on the 500th review would be a good time to break out the tippy macaroni! So here we go!

On the left we have a liquid packet and on the right some powdered seasoning.

Certainly looks just like regular macaroni doesn’t it? Seafood and abalone sure aren’t flavors you’d expect to have with macaroni over here in the states! Maybe cheese or white cheese or a casserole or something. Predominately cheese for sure – but seafood? Awesome!

The sauce packet was what looked like oil and soy sauce. The powder was simply a powder base.

Click image to enlarge. Here’s the finished, unadulterated product. The macaroni took only four minutes to cook and seemed like there was no way it would suck up 500cc of water, but it did! The flavor was very nice – not too salty, not too seafoody. A very tasty meal indeed, although kind of tough to keep on the fork – perhaps because of the oil? Anyways, I really liked this alot! 4.0 out of 5.0 stars!

Lucky Me! brand is a brand of Monde Nissin (Nissin Worldwide) and since I couldn’t find anything else, went with this commercial.

I can’t resist adding a short about BBSes… I ran one for quite a few years back in the late 80’s early 90’s…

#346: Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Artificial Chicken Flavor

So I’ve reviewed a lot of bowl noodles. I’m confused as to how Paldo, Samyang and Nongshim all have them and they’re all called bowl noodle. Spicy chicken is pretty common – let’s see how this is.

Two packets – powder on left, veggies on right.

Always like that rich color contrast.

Click image to enlarge. Okay so I added a couple fried eggs. That stuff on top? I made hot sauce yesterday! Click here to see what it was made out of and here to see the making of post on  my other blog, FooFooMayo. So this was pretty good – nothing super special but I enjoyed it for breakfast. 3.125 out of 5.0 stars Get it here.

One of the best short videos about noodles I’ve ever seen.

This was on PBS while I ate these noodles – looks like some good food!

#305: Lucky Me! Supreme Special Beef Carne de Vaca Instant Mami Noodles With Free Crackers

So I’ve reviewed another Supreme with the free crackers before. This time it’s special beef flavor! The tops are all the same on this line it appears…

So here’s the ‘front’ I suppose. I found it interesting that they put a sticker over something so I peeled it off. It looks like they covered up the Filipino text with Spanish for sale in the US; which seems strange since there are a lot of folks from the Philippines here!

Drove my Chevy to the levee and then ate a bowl noodle… Very interesting side image…

So they seem hell bent on letting you know ‘hey, these crackers are free – gratis – and you will like them!’ Powder and some kind of seasoned oil on the right and a veggie pack on the left.

Waiting for a bath…

Click image to enlarge. Added two eggs with a little seasoning on them. So the noodles aren’t bad – not really firm. The broth is interesting – a beefy flavor. I’m still unsure of the vegetable here but they’re fun and the crackers add a nice touch. A good bowl of noodles – 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.

#302: Samyang Bowl Noodle Soup Yukgaejang Ramen Picante Beef Flavor

Well, I’d sworn I’d had this before but nope! That was the Nongshim stuff. Curious if this stuff is as good…

A single packet of powder…

A lovely deep red color – very nice to see!

Click image to enlarge. Added one fried egg and a pinch of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning. So this stuff’s great – adding an egg makes it nice and tasty too. Decent heat, noodles are good and broth is red! Also, spied a couple little pieces of that spiral naruto stuff at the bottom of the bowl and they were good and fun to look at. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.
