This is a special limited edition – one of three that I’ll be rushing out over the next few days. So soon is the Super Bowl. American Football. What’s more, local team the Seattle Seahawks will be in it. I couldn’t care less – it gets really silly here when football is going on. We like baseball. But hey, we’ll watch it. Honestly, I’m hoping to go out during the Super Bowl – it’ll be like when we had the COVID lockdowns – I really liked those. Anyways, let’s try an instant noodle that should be a little weird. Sure with they’d do cheese burger, taco, and pizza, but so far they haven’t heard my (and the throngs of other people’s) call. On with it.
Nissin Cup Noodles Hot Wings Buffalo With Ranch Flavor – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains chicken. To prepare, fill to line with room temperature water. Microwave 4 minutes at 1000W, then let sit in the microwave an additional minute. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sauteed chicken, scallion, sesame seed, and ranch dressing. Noodle was fine, great, no problem. The flavor was very interesting. It really reminded me of a drunk coming home after the bar closed and stumbling around in the kitchen and putting a can of condensed minestrone soup in a pot with tiny slivers of diced carrot and a couple squirts of ranch and a shake of cayenne pepper. What’s odd is that I think that’s what this is going for. It’s very, very strange. I can’t say it’s the worst thing I’ve ever had, but I don’t find it to my liking or something I would want more of. My wife tried it as well and her take was the initial flavour of hot and sour from an American Chinese restaurant and then a powdered ranch kind of flavor.
