This one came by way of James from Lakeside, CA – thanks again! So I haven’t had Japchae in years – it’s a dry sauce vermicelli! Let’s try it out.

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains oyster. To prepare, add in flakes sachet and fill to line with boiling water. Cover 3 minutes. Drain. Add in remaining sachets. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Sweet potato vermicelli.

A sachet of liquid soup base.

Sesame oil.

A sachet of vegetables.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sauteed chicken, scallion, and sesame seed. Noodle is soft with a chewiness as well. Flavor is sweet with a kind of smoky flavor – maybe more vegetable. I think there’s oyster sauce as well – the amount of veg and sesame oil was really great. A non-spicy alternative to the bulk of the Korean varieties for the US. 5.0 out of 4.0 stars.  EAN bar code 8801045480091.
