Well, this is the third of three varieties I’m reviewing from Prima Taste – This one’s the regular laksa – not wholegrain. It’s got a new size – smaller than the original. It’ll show up in the US at some point. I tried this back in 2013 and was floored with how good it was. From the noodle to the broth, it sings. Let’s cook!

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp. To prepare, add sachet contents to 400ml water and bring to a boil. Add in noodle block and boil 7 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added tofu puff, egg. shrimp. mung bean sprouts, crushed red pepper, and mint. Noodles are very thick and chewy – came out great and worth the wait. Broth is a luxuriant laksa; oiliness and body is just relentless. Shrimp paste and an impressive array of spices flavor the it so well. Coconut is not just present in taste but aromatic.
