One of the very last (indeed the next to last) varieties sent in by Pher Engi of Australia – thanks again! I’m not sure of how rendang on a stick differs from regular rendang insofar as an instant noodle flavor. I guess we’ll find out!
Indomie Hype Abis Rasa Kebab Rendang is a new instant noodle from Indofood. It combines the flavors of Turkish Kebab and Rendang Padang. The noodles are wide and chewy, and the flavor comes from a mixture of mayo, dried red chilies, green onions, and Padang spicy rendang seasoning oil. The noodles also have a rendang-style topping.
Okay Turkish – interesting – time to cook!

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle in 400ml water for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, sesame seed, fried onion, and crushed red pepper. Noodle is a bit thicker on this one – liked that aspect. The flavor was like a more lemon kind of rendang which was decent. Little bits were kind of strange. I don’t know – it’s not bad but not my favorite. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 089686043662.
