#4196: Lin Jia Ya Tou One Noodle One Soup Pepper Noodle - China

Found this one right before Lunar New Year. Looked interesting and there were three of them we could get, so we got all three. The last one I tried said it was spicy, but didn’t seem to be so much. Luckily, this time I got some really great advice on what this was and how to cook it from Annie over at Red Chef – thanks you! Let’s give it a try!

Add in 20ml water and sachet contents (minus the egg and laver sachet). Stir. To prepare the soup, add 260ml boiling water to a little bowl and the egg and laver sachet contents. Let sit 30 seconds. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.

A sauce sachet.

A garnish sachet.

A freeze dried soup block.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, spring onion, and fried egg. The noodle dish was heavy on Sichuan peppercorn flavor with a light saltiness that was alright. The soup was a combo of seaweed and eggs. Apart, they were just so-so but as a combo, they were pretty good toegether. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 6972044730332.
