This is another one from Zenpop.jp. Zenpop is pretty cool – they have different boxes you can get – Japanese stationery, snacks, ramen… It’s quite a variety. They’re pretty cheap, too. Here’s what they had to say about this variety:
Look at the lovely summer-looking packaging! The thick and wide noodles look and taste like traditional Okinawa soba. This one is also relatively low in calories. The soup is light and flavored with bonito and pork.
Sounds great – let’s look within!
Nissin Okinawa Soba – Japan

The noodle block.
The soup base powder sachet.
A lot of powder!
The solid ingredients sachet.
Some veg and a slice of pork.
A smaller sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad cosmo mung bean sprouts, spring onion and chilli oil. The noodles came out very strong – chewy and a kind of flat and slightly wider gauge and thickness. The broth has a nice aroma of fish – almost smells like salmon. The bits of tempura here and there were nice, the slice of chashu thin but a nice extra. The pickled ginger was a great addition, however kind of gets lost with the other strong flavors. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902105235683.
