Mamee makes two extra spicy curry varieties – this one and one called Xtra Pedas which I reviewed a short while back. Of the two, this Berapi is not as spicy, but looks like it’s pack a punch! Curry sounds good – let’s dig in!
Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil 400ml water. Drop the noodle block in and cook for two minutes. Add contents of the seasoning sachet and stir. You’re ready for some curry noodles!
The noodle block.
The lone soup base sachet.
The soup base powder has an absolutely wonderful curry scent.
Finished (click image to enlarge). Added tofu puff, hard boiled egg, sweet onion, chives, coriander (cilantro), baked chicken with garlic salt and BonCabe Level 10 chilli seasoning and Fresno chilli peppers. The noodles came out nicely with a decent chew and they really slurped up the broth which I like. The broth has a rich curry flavor and is pretty hearty even though there’s no oil sachet. I liked it a lot! 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 9555022300207.
