#1903: Higashimaru Tonkotsu Ramen

Here’s another one that came by way of Casey P. from Hong Kong – thanks again! This is a pork tonkotsu – sounds good to me – let’s hit it!

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Probably contains pork. To prepare, add noodle block to 450ml boiling water and cook for 3 minutes. Add in contents of sachet. Stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.

The soup base sachet.

Lots of light powder.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added hard boiled egg, BBQ pork, spring onion and kizami shoga (pickled ginger. The noodles had nice thickness and firmness to them – good character and backbone. The broth was hearty and had a good pork flavor. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4904237101508.
