Here’s a neat one I got at Fujiya up in Richmond, BC during this year’s birthday trip! This is a snack ramen – basically cooked and dried ramen that’s crunchy and tasty! I really like finding new ones to try as eventually I’m thinking a top ten list of snack ramen noodles will be produced. Anyways, let’s have a look!
Here’s the distributors/import sticker (click image to enlarge). Contains chicken bouillon.
The back of the package (click to enlarge). To prepare, simply open the package and eat!
A long plastic tray holds the individual snack pieces.
An individual bite-sized piece.
Finished (click to enlarge). These little round pieces are just the right size for snacking. The flavor is salty and a little sweet; almost a yakisoba kind of flavor. As far as ramen snacks go, I’ll give it a 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 4902775045308.
Someone made a trip to a Japanese mall – check out the vending machines!
So here’s something a little different! Healthy and consomme usually aren’t words I see one packages of instant noodles!
Look at that! Clockwise from top – soup base, sea tangle and vegetables. Sea tangle! It add that wonderful ‘of the sea’ taste!
So inside the package is a tray with the noodles. There are the packet contents and sea tangle on top. Note the nice looking veggies!
Yeah – definitely something I’ve not seen before. Oh wait; isn’t this like macaroni but rice and thinner?
Click image to enlarge. Here’s the finished product. So the noodles are very chewy. I don’t like them much at all. Broth is nice and has some depth to it. Sea tangle is great as are the veggies. Altogether, I can’t get behind it because the noodles just don’t do it for me. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars. Unique and different yes, but not my kinda thing. Surprised to be able to find at least the beef version here.
