#5192: Nissin x Irvins Salted Egg Mala Flavour - Singapore

This is the last of the multipacks – I’m really making progress through all these Nissin Singapore products! Soon, the monster box will be gone and I’ll have room. Not to say I don’t like what’s in the box as I very much do. I’m curious about this one – it’s salted egg again, but instead of pepper spicy, I’m guessing it’s Sichuan peppercorn spicy. Let’s see if it works!

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge).

An instant noodle block.

A sachet of powder seasoning.

A sachet of seasoned oil.

An egg crumb garnish.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion and sesame seed. Noodle is thin and soft and really nice. The flavor of salted egg is there, and also a modest amount of Sichuan peppercorn. To be brutally honest, it makes me whiny. The spicy aspect while measured and not overboard is like a wall between the salted egg taste I want. I just want the salted egg taste, and this really irks my palate. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 8888279640132.
