The saga of the huge box from Singapore continues! Until I saw these, I’d never heard of Pepper Lunch, which is a restaurant chain. But indeed, there are locations here as well as in Singapore and probably elsewhere as well. Let’s try this cheese curry – high hopes as I love curry. I’m eating curry for dinner – I make it all the time.

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add in garnish sachet and fill to line with boiling water. Cover for 5 minutes. Add in remaining sachets. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed and scallion. Noodle is really great – thick and soft and hearty. The flavor is a Japanese curry – rather salty – and therre’s a definite cheese element. I did detect a little grittiness although I mixed it well. I do very much like the garnish – the dish is full; thick noodle, strong flavor, nice variety of textures. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8888279300197.
