#2292: Sichuan Baijia Chongqing Noodles Spicy Hot Flavor

This is the third of this line of new products from Sichuan Baijia that I’ve tried recently and what’s neat is that there are bowls too so I’m going to have to try those soon too. The others have definitely been spicy hot but this one says spicy hot. I think this may be a contender! Yesterday’s review of the cheese buldak bokkummyun fire noodle challenge noodle was super hot! Let’s give this a looksie and see how hot it is!

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add package contents to a bowl and add 600ml boiling water. Cover for 2 minutes. Stir. Cover for 3 more minutes. Stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.

The dry sachet.

Vegetables and MSG.

This looks spicy…

Smells spicy too!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, sweet onion, beef and coriander. The noodles are thin and flat with a medium width. They really work well here. The broth is a very spicy beef with a Sichuan pepper hit amongst others. There are sesame seeds throughout and the bits of vegetables in there were great. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6926410330879.

Baijia Instant Sweet Potato Thread, Original Hot and Sour, 3.81 Ounce (Pack of 20)

Chongqing – China’s secret metropolis.

  1. These are the best instant noodles I have ever had in America. OMG they are amazing. I am going to buy many packs from the store. I am a supply chain manager and would definitely recommend this to stores here in the USA. This is restaurant level flavor and heat. Good job!

  2. I got these last week while looking for the Hot & Sour version. On a 1-10, how do you generally rate the heat level compared to other reviews? I’ve had the Samyung “fire noodles”, and while those are hot, having the broth in this one brings it to a new level IMO.
