#799: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Savory Chicken Flavor

Today Andy wanted to try something new. Knowing he’s a little timid of things that are too far off the map, I went with this. I’m pretty sure he’ll like it.

The side panels from the outer cardboard shell (click image to enlarge).

The lid.

The noodle block awaits its time of duty.

The lone seasoning packet.

Some tasty powder!

Peas and corn were present in the bottom of the bowl – this was just a couple bits and pieces.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added one slice of cheese with a pinch of Krazy Mixed Up Salt. The broth is awesome – a really great chicken flavor. The noodles are perfect – a nice almost buttery flavor. The veggies weren’t bad either – surprised to see as many as I did. All in all, a really good chicken flavor bowl! 4.25 out of 5.0 stars! This is one odd noodle commercial!

Looks like a behind the scenes and then a commercial – these are really common from what I’ve seen.

#453: Nongshim Savory Bowl Noodle Chicken Flavored Noodle Soup

So I thought I’d tried every single variety of these but I found yet another in California! This is just chicken – not spicy chicken. So here we go with the noodling!

A single packet of dry powdered seasoning.

Look at that! A mountain of powdered soup base! The veggies were hiding underneath the noodle block.

The picture reminds me of the old Dairy Queen commercials in which there was a mountain range made from chocolate with rivers of chocolate, caramel and strawberry syrups rolling down them and meadows of whipped cream and forests of peanuts. It was magnificent!

Click image to enlarge. I added a couple fried eggs, a pinch of Chef Paul’s Meat Magic and Chef Paul’s Chile deArbol powder. So this one was pretty good. I remember how much I enjoyed these when I reviewed them before (that is, the Beef & Ginger, Lobster, Hot & Spicy, Kimchi and spicy chicken). This one was good – worth 3.25 out of 5.0 stars.

So Nong Shim recently got in a little trouble with claims that their campaign for Shin Ramyun Black were misleading. Some people thought it was supposed to be healthierand it really wasn’t. Also, it cost two to three times as much. Anyways, here’s a commercial for it and then a kind of parody commercial afterwards

I guess I remembered it a little wrong but yeah this is the commercial I was mentioning earlier… I like the logo sculpted into the side of the thing. I wonder if any of that is actually chocolate because I saw a documentary showing food photographers using hairspray and shellac on french fries…

This is something fun to watch so enjoy.
