Here we have one that’s changed their packaging a bit to include instructions in English as well as mention of its place on the 2016 top ten.

I like how they gave me a wooden sign – I think maybe I should make one and hold it during my top ten list videos… Naw! But seriously, this is a good one – I don’t believe it’s changed at all since the last time I reviewed it, except for the packing. After doing a little research though, it looks like some people are on the fence about this – mention that some ingredients have been changed for export. Regardless, it’s definitely worth another look. Let’s Find out if Tseng has upped their game on this product and whether or not it is indeed with a different texture and flavor.

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add noodles to 800ml boiling water with a pinch of salt and cook 5~6 minutes. Drain and add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Spicy Sichuan pepper oil.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added micro coriander, Chinese sausage, and chopped garlic. The noodles have a robust and satisfying mouthfeel. The rippled edges and the center that has a slight extra chew – kind of meeting of delicate and hearty in the same bite and I definitely appreciate that aspect. The flavor is soy and scallion which is very good together and slapped with a spicy Sichuan pepper oil that just rounds it all out perfectly.
