Here’s one of the last ones I got during my trip to Thailand to visit the nice folks that make MAMA noodles in May. It was really great over there – really hot, but wow – the 7-11 next to the hotel was a treasure trove as far as instant noodles I can’t source here are concerned! Let’s check this one out.
Here’s the back of the image (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add everything to 300ml boiling water and cook 3-4 minutes. Stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
The soup base sachet.
A granular powder.
Some seasoned oil.
Smells pretty good!
Finished (click to enlarge). Added coriander, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, fried garlic, Dodo fish balls, pork, lime and spring onion. The noodles are flat and wide – something not often seen in Thai instants; at least not in wheat noodles. The broth is spicy and has a lot of herbs to it; reminiscent of duck perhaps? It’s really got a spicy kick to it as well. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8850250008491.
A Yum Yum TV commercial.
