#2543: KOKA Curry Flavour Instant Noodles

#2543: KOKA Curry Flavour Instant Noodles - Singapore - The Ramen Rater - Tat Hui

Here’s another left over from the KOKA Meet The Manufacturer – thanks again for participating For almost a whole year I was reviewing two varieties per day – this is how I got so far ahead in my reviews. Now I’m only doing one at this point and I think I probably will for a while. You see, having a 5 month old baby girl and a very inquisitive 21 month old boy in the house can be a little crazy. He’s really interested in grabbing things and flinging them on the floor. He’s also a big fan of stealing remote controls (we got him a couple just for him, but he still steals ours). He loves the mouse and keyboard too, so I have to put those up when he’s running around.

Another nice thing is that It definitely frees up a lot more time – one review I can do pretty quick but two takes 2x the time. Plus it takes a lot more time in the midday cooking and plating etcetera which can be very difficult to wrangle if he’s not taking a nap. My daughetr will be crawling any day now and she’s a zero-to-sixty kind of gal. She will be just fine, happy and cooing – then she decides she’s hungry and it’s a kind of scramble to get her some food and drop everything thing.

At the time of this post I’m still almost 90 reviews ahead, so on days where reviewing just isn’t going to work, I have a huge buffer. Anyways, today it’s curry! Let’s get started with this curry cup from KOKA!

Cabbage and carrot.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, Dodo fishball, spring onion, tau pok, and fried onion. The three minutes I let the cup steep was just right for the noodles to hydrate. Indeed they had a good gauge and chew and quite a decent quantity- always surprises me how much food can come from a cup. The broth is very good – had a rich curry flavor with a nice hit of spiciness. The included carrot and cabbage garnish works extremely well and supplies a fresh little crunch. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. Curry For Lunch

Here’s what I had for lunch (click to enlarge). Some Daddy Kari 365 Curry Flavour Instant Noodles (here’s the original review) that were sent by Jerry W. of Malaysia (thanks again!), sweet onion, thin sliced ribeye, a 2 egg omelet with a slice of processed cheese and some Tabasco Jalapeno sauce and a little bit of Dua Belibis chili sauce on top. Really tasty stuff! By the way – I started a new facebook page here. It’s in protest of the ridiculously large amount of election signs everywhere that look so nasty. Like the page if you agree!

#906: Daddy Kari 365 Instant Noodles Curry Flavour

Here’s the stuff that Jerry W. sent from Sarawak, Malaysia! Thanks again! Ahhh curry – there are very few things I’ve found to be absolutely perfect and one of them is the flavor of curry. Curry’s up there with bacon, hot sauce and garlic! Let’s check out this unique curry noodle variety from Malaysia!

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge).

Big chunk of noodle block. The noodles are very thin.

Here’s the seasoning packet.

Upon opening the packet, I was greeted with that wonderful smell – curry. It was really nice! I tasted the powder – oh man! Good stuff!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sweet onions, stir-fry veggies, a fried egg with Dua Belibis, some baked chicken with Lindberg-Snider Red Baron BBQ Spice, and a little Urashima Sesame & Salt furikake. The noodles are thin and very plentiful – really excellent and  very enjoyable to eat. The broth is absolutely perfect – hands-down! A nice color, very strong curry flavor with a little curry spicy heat to it. If you like curry, this is wonderful and you’ll love it! 5.0 out of 5.0 stars! Wow! UPC bar code 9556158184600 .

This looks really tasty!

Meet The Manufacturer Re-Review: Tat Hui’s KOKA Curry Flavour Instant Non-Fried Noodles

Here’s another one – curry flavor!!! This is the four pack.

I ate the contents of this package!

Here’s the back of the package (click image to enlarge). 0.7g of fat!

Here’s the noodle block – really light.

One packet of dry seasonings.

Here’s the dry powder – has a very nice curry scent!

Here’s the veggie pack…

I love this.

This time, these get cooked with the noodles.

Finished (click image to enlarge). The noodles are just like in the last coupe packs – a decent firmness and chewiness and still not super thick. The broth is sweet and spicy – but in a curry way. It works and is quite tasty. The veggies are spot on – I really enjoyed how the peas re-hydrated – very nice and fresh. Excellent – 4.25 our of 5.0 stars. UPC barcode 8888056000258 – get it here.
