#3229: Buitoni Yakisoba Gusto Classico - Italy

One of the very last varieties sent by the Butlers from their trip to Italy – thanks again! Yup – Italian yakisoba! Not something you’d expect, eh? Well here it is and I think we’ll just have to crack it open and take a look – let’s do it!

A ton of vegetables.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added sauteed beef, micro arugala. Noodles were alright but seemed a little funny. The flavor of the yakisoba sauce was definitely different. It was very acrid and acidic; not one that I liked. The sheer cavalcade of included vegetables wasn’t the best either. 1.0 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 7613035103320.

Vegetable garnish.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, spring onion and baked chicken. The noodles were alright – nothing especially fancy; just fried wheat noodle. The flavor was odd – a strong acidity that just didn’t jibe well. Amount of vegetable flakes were admirable and just strange. 2.5 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 7613035104341.

#2938: Buitoni Noodles Gusto Curry

Alrighty so these were sent by the Butlers of Illinois – thank you dso much! Looking at all the references to Maggi on this package, I’m guessing this is going to be about the same as Maggi Curry – a variety popular around the world. Oddly and to the surprise of many, these really isn’t a Maggi Curry you can get in the store here in the USA in regular stores – in fact you really don’t see many Maggi branded products here in the states. Let’s give this one a try!

Definitely smells like Maggi curry.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added a sprig of coriander. The noodles came out soft but engorged on water. They also had a nice little bit of oiliness from cooking in the oil. The flavor was like a light curry – one that was very tasty. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars.  EAN bar code 4820048618281.

Unboxing Time: Italian Instant Noodles From Readers

I got a text a few weeks back asking if I’d like some Italian instant noodles. A couple from Illinois was on vacation over in Italy and they wanted to get me some. My answer of course was yes – I’m still floored how mice my readers are! Thank you so much! Let’s take a look!

You’ll probably notice that I’m a little worked up in this vide! A combination of being ecxcited about Italian instant noodles – something I’ve never gotten before – and a couple diet Mountain Dews I think are what did it lol. Thanks again!
