I must say that one of my favorite fascinating things are pizza flavored instant noodles. I’ve often thought it would be neat to make one that’s like pizza – many have been made, few seem truly like pizza. Usually they include a lot of oregano and basil flavor – which is nice. Let’s give this one a try!

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add everything in and boil in 250ml water for 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chicken, basil, scallion, and crushed red pepper. Noodle is good – soft and nice gauge. Broth has notes of Italian herbs as expected. It’s interesting; I wouldn’t immediately say ‘oh, this is pizza flavor,’ but it goes deeper. Pizza is more of a textural experience so a noodle soup has a tough time competing or emulating.
