Today we have a Zenpop.JP variety – so what’s Zenpop? They’re a subscription service for all things Japanese! Definitely, check them out. By the way, use coupon code RAMENRATER to get $2 off! Here’s what they had to say about this one – ‘This is a special kind of “yakisoba” soupless noodle dish. Shoyu and miso based sauce is flavored with a toasty taste of shrimp, and the curly noodles catch the delicious sauce well. The savory sauce, the crunchy cabbage, and the meat. Everything in the bowl intensifies your appetite.’
Well this sounds different – and pretty dang good! Let’s have a look.
Sapporo Ichiban Oil Soba Shrimp – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp, chicken, and pork. To prepare, add boiling water to line and cover for 4 minutes. Use drain spout to drain off water. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
The noodle block. Noodles look a little on the thicker side.
A liquid sachet.
A thick oily liquid.
Loose bits from the bowl.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added soft egg, Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, spring onion, sesame seeds, shrimp and shichimi togarashi. The noodles are a little broader and thicker than usual and honestly made me think of instant udon. The worked very well with the oily sauce with a nice shrimp taste. Definitely enjoyed the included garnish – the little pieces of mince were quite nice. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4901734034278.
