Here’s one that was in a box from Zenpop. Their monthly boxes feature a slew of varieties from Japan – use coupon code RAMENRATER for a discount! Here’s what they have to say about this one – “The seabura (pork back fat) broth is so delish and addictive, don’t you agree? Its thin noodle is smooth, so the richness of the soup mixes very well together. Toppings are sesame, wood ear mushrooms, scallion, and pickled ginger.”
Okay let’s give it a shot!

Here’s the last of the January box that was sent to me by Javier over at Box From Japan – thanks! Box From Japan is a subscription service – you can get a box sent to you every month with some great noodles within! This one looks really fancy – I like the pic on the bowl with that nice looking broth! Let’s have a closer look!
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains pork and chicken. To prepare, add in dry sachet contents and boiling water to fill line. Cover and steep 5 minutes. Remove lid and add in lid. Stir and enjoy!
Finished (click to enlarge). Added hard boiled egg and narutomaki./ I’ve got to say – these noodles hydrated very well and have one seriously good chew to them. The broth is equally amazing – a purely elegant shoyu broth with a good oiliness and great flavor. The vegetable bits hydrated very well and were of excellent quality. To top it off, it comes with a happy little slice of pork, which comes out just right. I’m very impressed with this one. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4903088008226.
