A big thank you to Artur, a friend of The Ramen Rater! This is the very first dessert-style instant noodle I’ve ever tried. Ever! Not only that, It’s fromthe Ukraine! I’ve seen dessert yakisoba before in chocolate as well as strawberry shortcake flavor, and I expected those would be what I would eventually get to try. But this was way out of nowhere. Thank you again! Let’s give it a try! It’s banana time!
Mivina Banana Flavor Instant Noodles – Ukraine
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare,
The noodle block.
Both side of the dry sachet.
Smells like banana taffy!
Finished (click to enlarge). Added banana, plain M&Ms, and Kraft crunchy peanut butter. The ramen noodles were still with a bit of texture, but they were very soft. The broth tasted like banana milk and was nice and hearty due to being made with milk. Honestly, this was pretty good! 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 7613036248822.
Here’s another one kindly sent by Artur of Illinois – thanks again! This is another Ukrainian variety – and again as I’ve said before, European varieties are VERY hard for me to come by. Let’s get to it!
Mibena Spicy Chicken Instant Noodles – Ukraine
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Unsure if it contains meat. To prepare, add everything to a bowl and add 300ml boiling water for noodles, 350-400ml boiling water for noodle soup. Cover 3~5 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Part of the noodle block.
The dry base sachet.
Powder and little bits.
An oild sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg and spring onion. The noodles had a very interesting character to them – like the Roni in Rice-A-Roni and I like them a lot. The broth had a very good chicken flavor, although I really couldn’t detect one iota of spiciness. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4820048610070.
This pack comes by way of Artur P. and his kids Vincent and Xavier of Illinois – thank you again! This is the first Ukrainian instant noodle I’ve ever reviewed! I know there are a lot of different varieties from Ukraine but just like other European varieties, they’re very hard to come by for me. Let’s open this spicy chicken pack up and have a look inside this РОЛЛТОН (Rollton) variety!
Rollton Spicy Chicken Instant Noodles – Ukraine
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Unsure whether or not it contains meat. To prepare,, add package contents to a bowl and add 300ml boiling water (dry) or 350ml (soup). Cover and let steep 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dry sachet.
A granular mix.
An oil sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). To be honest, I found this one hard to put down. The noodles are light and soft with a softer than normal chew, however they’re not mushy. The broth was very nice here – while I did not detect a spicy kind of flavor whatsoever, it has a strong comfort food chicken kind of taste I really liked. Pair that with a little oil and everything was really good. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4820179250077.
Check it out! Readers Arthur and his boys Vincent and Xavier sent me some Ukrainian varieties! Really super nice of them and I’m pretty excited about it – let’s take a look and what’s in this package, shall we?
