This one comes by way of a reader from Taiwan who visited t he Philippines and saw this and a spicy version there. This is most definitely an export version. First, lots of English text. Now, you’ll never see this in the United States as it does contain beef. Casn’t go wrong with braised beef – well, I guess you could if it’s bad, but I don’t think that’s going to be the case here. Let’s find out!
#3010: Vedan Wei Wei Premium Noodle With Braised Beef – Taiwan
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge). Contains beef. To prepare, add everything in, add boiling water to line, cover for 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dry base sachet.
A light powder.
A paste sachet.
Thick and oily.
A retort pouch.
Liquid and chunks of beef.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added spring onion and Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts. Noodles had a decent chew although didn’t marry exceedingly well with the broth; they sort of stood apart. Broth was a little lighter thgan anticipated and beef just seemed too dried out. Not enough braised flavor. However even with all these issues, everything came together well. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4710111904208.
