Hey look at this! This came by way of Hobby Link Japan, a great site that has all sorts of amazing Japanese things including instant noodles! Thank you very much! Here’s what they had to say about this unique variety on their website –

First created in 1937 in Kurume, in the Fukuoka prefecture of Japan, this delicious tonkotsu ramen has been a favorite for 80 years and counting!   The rich, thick soup made from pork bone, chrysanthemum, green onions and seaweed is paired with the medium-thin noodles that are a Kurume specialty.

Tonkotsu! Fukuoka! Let’s do this!

A piece of seaweed garnish.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added Salad Cosmo mung bean sprouts, spring onion and hard boiled egg. The noodles were of a thinner gauge. They were good – gauge-wise and chewiness, I enjoyed them thoroughly. The broth was a salty tonkotsu with some nice richness. The included vegetables were okay and the slice of pork was just a little too thin. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars.  JAN bar code 4902881421775.
