Meet The Manufacturer: #1681: Wugudaochang Sea Tangle & Spareribs Flavor Noodles

If you’re unsure of what sea tangle is, maybe you’ve heard of kelp. It’s like thick seaweed. When I was a kid, I’d go down to the shoreline and when the tide was out, you’d see these long whip like greenish things every once in a while – big bulbs on the end and long flat leafy looking things. We used to step on the bulbs at the end which were hollow and they’d pop! It was good fun – never thought part of these things would be something I’d look forward to in a noodle dish! Let’s check out this one from Wugudaochang to start off their Meet The Manufacturer!

Detail from the outer wraps (click image to enlarge). Not sure if it contains meat. To prepare, add in all sachets and 550ml boiling water. Cover for 4 minutes, stir and enjoy!

Detail of the lid (click image to enlarge).

An included fork!

The noodle block.

Powder soup base.

A very light powder.

A paste sachet.

Thick like peanut butter.

The vegetables sachet.

Peas, sea tangle and carrot.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added pork and white onion. The noodles hydrated nicely and have a decent texture. They have a standard instant gauge. The broth has a creamy color and good flavor I enjoyed. The sea tangle also known as kelp was very prevalent and a nice addition. Bits of carrot were also added and of good quality. What I didn’t expect was the presence of little cubes of pork which were perfectly hydrated and very welcome. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6936986813102.
