I saw some promotional events that Prima Taste was running and some of the neat stuff they did with giveaways and what the folks who were giving out samples were wearing. I asked if I could possible have some swung my way and they obliged! Thank you! Let’s open this boxc up and see what’s within!
Unboxing Time: Instant Noodles Swag From Prima Taste – Singapore
Tee shirts, posters and stickers? Awesome! Thanks again!
Today, it’s another installment of Unboxing Time With The Ramen Rater. We have some interesting things from Taiwan to check out! I thought it would be fun to have a special guest on this unboxing, so my son Andy has joined me today. Impressively, he’s sampled some of the spiciest noodles in the world – the number one from my top ten spicy list – and handled it pretty well earlier this year! Well, let’s get to the unboxing – I’ve started a new video series called ‘Unboxing Time With The Ramen Rater’ – I hope you enjoy it!
I was contacted last year by Fanny Chu, a California artist with a true love for ramen. In fact, she designed a ramen poster, highlighting many of the different varieties of ramen in Japan. Well, she’s done a big update to the poster and now it includes a whopping 42 different varieties. They can be bought here. Let’s have a look!
Actually before I continue, I’m guessing you noticed that the mailing tube was in a shopping cart. I like to laminte poster companies send at Costco business Center. It’s kind of like regular Costco but with some businessy stuff like a really nice print shop.
Well, the mailman was really lagging and so it was time to go and I was really hoping to get stuff laminated – and as we’re pulling out, the mailman pulled up and I got the tube with the posters. So back to Costco -of course like any other Costco, they have large quantities like you see here. I was surprised to find out that Costco is actually in other countries – Taiwan is one. I like in Kenmore, which is next to Bothell (yes – Bot-hell is where bad robots go when they die), which is next to Kirkland. Kirkland brand is all over Costco, and in fact it’s named after where the first Costco is, which is about a 20 minute drive from here. Anyways…

Here’s one of the posters (click to enlarge). They’re big – 3 feet tall! You can get this one here. You can see Fanny’s artist stamp in the top right corner.
