
Here’s one found at Evergreen Asian Market in Everett, Washington. This looks like another Korean style out of Vietnam. Let’s give it a shot.
Vifon Jjajangmyeon Black Bean Sauce Noodle – Vietnam

Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boiil noodle block and veg sachet in 600ml water for 4 minutes. Drain, saving 2tbsp. Add everything back into a pot including remaining sachets. Finally, stir well and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion and sesame seed. Noodle came out decently enough – thicker than usual gauge for a Vietnamese noodle, emulating Korean style. The flavor wasn’t too off, however the stirring I did, which was ample, didn’t do the job to break down the powder base. In other words, I ended up with a clump of powder in my mouth.
