#10: Vina Caty Dragonfruit Noodle Vegetarian Mushroom Flavor – Vietnam
A very unique variety here. While not a big fan of mushroom usually, this one couple with the dragonfruit noodle imparted an interesting sweetness in the broth that was quite nice. Innovative and a great one from Vietnam. Original review
#9: ABC Selera Pedas Hot Chicken Lime Flavour – Indonesia
Here’s a spicy one from Indonesia. A good noodle paired with a very savory chicken and lime flavor which is very popular in the region. Bright and tangy. Original review
#8: Pink Rocket Original Rapokki – United States
Rapokki is a combination of ramyun noodles and tteokbokki, which are cylindrical rice cakes that have a soft and chewy texture. Paired with a sweet and spicy sauce, this dual texture of noodle and rice cake is incredibly good and this variety delivers. Original review
#7: iMee Chicken Green Curry – Thailand
I honestly expected a kind of boring variety here but was very wrong about that. The green curry flavored broth is absolutely luxuriant and very flavorful. The noodle suits is just perfectly – definitely not one to pass up if you can find it – nor it’s red curry counterpart either. Original review
#6: Noodie Peanut Chili Irresistible Ramen – United States
These reminded me of some kind of 25th century instant noodle. Noodles are light with a slight chew. The sheer amount of vegetable is great and since they’re freeze dried they add a lot of flavor. The peanut sauce and chili sauce compliment each other masterfully. I would recommend pouring them over instead of stirring them in – I’ll definitely be doing this one again and doing so as it was hard to find the chili sauce when I stirred it all up – but honestly when I did it was just wonderful stuff. Truly a product that is worthy of it’s fancy packaging. Original review
#5: Sapporo Ichiban CupStar 50th Anniversary Tonkotsu Ramen – Japan
Sapporo Ichiban CupStar has been around 50 years and this tonkotsu is really quite nice. It’s got a good noodle and a tonkotsu broth that’s thick and luxuriant. I’ve had cup varieties that are tonkotsus that have been downright watery – not the case with this one. Original review
#4: Hai Chi Jia Jiao Ma Guo Ma Fen – China
Noodle was as expected – a sweet potato thread. The broth was a very nice balanced mala flavor – not overly reliant on Sichuan peppercorn and quite savory. The rice crisp work wonderfully here and added a nice texture. Included vegetables were plentiful and delicious. Original review | Get it here
#3: Sapporo Ichiban Fujiro Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen – Japan
Kind of looks like Mount Fuji in it’s upside down presentation but yes – you flip it over. This one has a very thick, well-0hydrating noodle with a great broth and a large anount of cabbage which gives it a nice fresh crunch throughout. Original review
#2: Nissin Ippudo Shiromaru Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen – Singapore
This is part of a whole slew of collaboration varieties from Nissin Singapore that are quite good. The noodle here is thin with a hint of brittleness which serves it well. The broth is a lavish tonkotsu that is the definition of savory. Worth a trip to Singapore. Original review
#1: Mamee Chef Mi Goreng Perisa Rendang Legenda – Malaysia
Noodle hydrated great and works well. Flavor is just spectacular – lots of sweet, spicy, and savory notes. A nice basil hit to it and the fried onion garnish stirred in has a soft and crunchy nature which sends it over the top. Original review | Get it here

The Ramen Rater Needs Your Help!
I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported The Ramen Rater in recent times and over the years. We’re at a bit of an impasse at the moment as I’m asking for help yet again. Firstly, the problem I’m having is noodles – a short supply of stuff I’ve not reviewed, due to financial difficulties. In the more dire side of things, the computer I use to do everything you see, from video editing, image editing and writing, is failing horribly. It’s an older HP Omen PC – running an Intel 8800k CUP for the nerdier of you out there, 128GB ram and a 4
TB NVMe, and an older GeForce video card. Everything is, well, decaying. I think I got it in 2018 and it’s been on 99.5% of the time if not more since I got it. Really need a new one before this thing just explodes – if anyone can donate a newer machine. Drop me a line if you can help with noodles or wish to donate a machine. If you can help with a couple bucks, here’s a couple ways how.
Definitive Guides
This year, I’ve decided to do a special series called Definitive Guides. Recipes, trivia, history, and more on some of the most loved and fascinating varieties of instant noodles around the world! So far, I’ve got one on Nongshim’s Shin Ramyun, and Indomie’s Mi Goreng and Nissin Foods’ Cup Noodles Pumpkin Spice! Very recently, I released a Definitive Guide To Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup. Future guides will include MAMA Tom Yum, and more. My plan is do feature one or two products from each country.
