2HOT Rocoto Sauce
[ Website ]
Peru This stuff's different - all that's in it is Peruvian Rocoto peppers and salt - no vinegar!  Rocoto pepper has a bit of an almost tomato like taste and the pepperiness is just right.  Special thanks to Steve of hotsaucehawaii.com! /?g 04.02.2004
Bufalo Chipotle
[ Website ]
Mexico An interesting sauce: pretty hot and very very smoky. I have found mixing it liberally with mayonnaise makes something tasting like a steak sauce. / 0g
Bufalo Jalapeno
[ Website ]
Mexico A very tasty sauce that is quite acidic but that's okay because it works perfectly with the ingredients.  Lots of jalapeno! / 0g
Bufalo Picante Classica

Mexico This is another Bufalo product that I mix with mayonnaise.  It's extremely rich stuff and blood red. / 0g

Mexico A cool little bottle and name.  That's where the fun stops!  This stuff is considered a snack sauce - probably to put on pork rinds or something.  This stuff tastes quite nasty though.vinegar, dried chilies, salt and lemon juice.  Nasty stuff. / 0g 08.17.2004

Salsa Habanera
Red
[ Website ]
Mexico The most interesting part of this sauce is it's a real lip-burner.  Almost as if it's capsaicin fortified, but I think it's just serious habanero.  Good on pork and eggs.. / 0g 04.21.2004
Cholula
[ Website ]
Mexico I use this stuff exclusively on eggs and salads.  Has all sorts of vegetables and spices in it and tastes awesome - one of the best out there! /0g
Cholula
Chili Garlic
[ Website ]
Mexico A nice bottle of sauce - has a slight processed flavor to it - but I really mean slight.  It's what you'd expect a chili-garlic version of regular Cholula to taste like - quite good on eggs and burritos. /0g 10.30.2005
El Pato

Mexico First ingreident is vinegar, and then dried peppers follows.  This isn't quite my style as it tastes like vinegar and dried peppers. / 0g
El Yucateco XXX Chile Habanero

Mexico This is extremely hot sauce but unlike most really hot sauces, the underlying flavor is terrible.  Tastes like ass. / 0g

Mountain Herb

Puerto Rico A very chunky hot sauce.  The habanero isn't immediately perceived, but then it slowly creeps up on you.  A very different sauce - I have no idea what I would use it on.  Ah - it says to try it as a dip with cream cheese - I could see that. / ?g 04.13.2004
La Costena

Mexico This is a jalapeno sauce with a hint of smoky flavor, although I am sure these peppers haven't been chipotleized. / ?g 04.13.2004

Belize This one's a bit different - the initial flavor completely differs from the aftertaste, but both are quite good.  This is another one that uses far more carrots than viegar for a base, which is obvious by now to my liking. / 4.5g 04.13.2004

Brazil Here's another bottle donated by the nice folks at www.sanjuanhotshop.com.  As they said, it's definately Brazil's answer to Tabasco sauce.  Very hot and biting with lots of vinegar. A bit too much salt for my taste though. /0g 10.29.2004

Snob Aji Casero

Ecuador Got this stuff just because the brand name was 'Snob.'  Luckily it turns out, this is some of the best hot sauce I've had.  Full of peppers and 'tree tomatos!'  Has absolutely no vinegar in it.  If you see it, get it because it's only sold in Ecuador and I got it on eBay. /0g

Bonney Pepper
[ Website ]
Barbados I'm not sure if the bottle's just ancient or the flavor I taste is on purpose.  Says it's made with bonney peppers...  Also has mustard flour, which I imagine is the funky pungent I taste.  Dunno about this one. / ?g 04.13.2004
