Habanero Relish

Wasn't sure whether to put this stuff on the Superhot area or not!  Upon opening the jar, I was welcomed with a very fresh scent of great ingredients.  This stuff smelled so good, I took a spoonful of it [a big spoonful] and tried it straight - and man is it hot!  Very very tasty - the habanero provides quite the kick, but doesn't drown out the subtleties of the other flavors.  I recommend this one for the chileheads out there who want to try something a bit different with lots of heat! 09.24.2005
El Salcero Brand Salsa
Mild Pico De Gallo Style
Met the man who makes this stuff at the Marysville Homegrown Festival today.  This salsa is not mass-marketed or found in stores; in fact, the batch I purchased was made at 4am today!  This is some of the best salsa I've ever had - the fact that red wine viegar is used really puts it high in my book.  Clean crisp vegetable flavor and a perfect balance between that and lime juice make it quite addictive.  No website yet but hopefully I'll have a link to events in Western Washington he'll be selling this great concoction at soon!
He mentioned he sells every weekend at the Puget Park Swap Meet in Everett.

El Salcero Brand Salsa
White Hot Pico De Gallo Style
The habanero flavor shines through in a very luxurious fashion; fresh habaneros man - hooh hah!  Very good stuff - a good deep kind of heat - almost creeper heat.  Hot enough for the veteran and mellow enough for the amateur.  Would have gotten this style if we had more money. /?g
