Island Sauce Habanero & Mango
[ Website ]
This is some tasty stuff!  Has habanero and cayenne peppers, brown mustard, mangoes and brown sugar.  Taste reminds me of curry and tastes really good - gonna go make some rice to put it on! /?g 10.29.2004

This stuff's great on french fries and on top of mashed potatos!  Just like ketchup but with a real piercing heat.  Could mix it with some lemon juice and dip cocktail shrimp in it too - very good stuff! /5g 10.29.2004

Longbranch Original
[ Website ]
I really liked this sauce a lot on meats - especially new york steak.  Reminds me a bit of a worcestshire sauce gone thick and spicy, but then different flavors creep in and tell you that it's not quite that at all.  It has a great combo of dried  peppers including De Arbols, Habaneros and Chipotle morita,   Adding roasted pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, sesame seedgives it a nice rounding.  They also use sea salt, which I really like.  Some good stuff! /0g 10.30.2005

This is an interesting sauce - contains Manzano peppers, Habaneros, red Thai peppers, and Mexican green onions!  Has a nice mango flavor too! Quite a good kick to it - I mixed it with some sour cream and mayo and had it with pretzel sticks and found it very good. /0g 10.30.2005

Dorsey's Reserve
[ Website ]
Has all the peppers the other two above contain, but also has jalapenos and serranos.  Also has the pumpkin seeds, pine nuts and sesame too.  A deep rich flavor from this one - had it with the sour cream, mayo and pretzel sticks - has the most heat of all their sauces I think. /0g 10.30.2005

Salsa Rio Verde
[ Website ]
Now this is my favorite of the Longbrach Trading Co.'s sauce lineup - nothing I enjoy more than seeing tomatillos used liberally with other great ingredients like jalapenos and serranos!  Also has the pumpkin seeds in it!  This stuff makes a burrito taste damn good - probably the best green colored sauce I've tried all year! /0g 10.30.2005

This stuff'as pretty good, although I couldn't find much of any form of heat to it.  Lots of tomato and brown sugar.  Real tasty. / ?g 04.13.2004

Aces & Eights
[ Website ]
Hoo boy!  This stuff's got quite a bite to it, undoubtedly from the extremely hot Red Savina Habanero. Made with these hot little suckers, rum onions, garlic, vinegar and salt.  Normally I'm not a big fan of hard alcohol in hot sauce [not a tee-totaler, just don't usually like it'. This one's different though - it adds to the bite of the Red Savina nicely. /0g 11.16.2004

A lot like Aces & Eights, however a bit less burn. I was able to taste the rum a bit more in this variety, and didn't like it as much. /0g 11.16.2004

Cajun Enchantress
[ Website ]
This is one of the higher scoville unit sauces I've seen in 5 ounce bottles.  Says use as a food additive only - not to be directly consumed!  He wasn't kidding - this stuff has capsaicin added to it!  Really really hot stuff! /0g 11.16.2004

Another plain vicious sauce!  From the looks of things so far, looks like Harold likes to combine great ingredients and a passion for making people run around like a chicken with their head cut off!  This one has a bit of bell pepper in it - gives it an even fresher edge - very good stuff! /0g 11.16.2004

Bad Ass Pepper Company Old No. 3
[ Website ]
This is quite tasty - it shall be spicing up some salmon in the very near future!  Full of fresh tasting ingredients like roasted cayenne peppers, roasted garlic, onions, celery and herbs.  A very tasty sauce. /0g 11.16.2004

Bad Ass Pepper Company Old No. 7
[ Website ]
Same as Old No. 3, but instead of roasted cayenne peppers, it's those vicious Red Savina Habaneros!  Just tried a gulp of it 3 or 4 minutes ago and it's still lingering!  A little too spicy for my taste, although the fresh ingredients make it a very nice sauce. /0g 11.16.2004

Here's another hot one - this time with Orange Habaneros.  Not as hot as the Red Savina vieriety, although packs a serious punch!

A simple blend of Red Savina, Vinegar, spices and salt.  Very tasty and incredibly hot!

Another Red Savina infused creation, this time it has some vodka in it!  Pretty good stuff if you can handle the heat!  First time I've seen vodka in a hot sauce - unique!

Melinda's Fire Roasted
[ Website ]
Of all the Melinda's products I've tried, I hate to say it but this is the one I like the least.  Almost like chipotle habanero.  For those who like chipotle style sauces, I'm sure this is about the best you'll get, but for me it's not really to my liking. / 0g

A chunky and tasty sauce - first thing I did was a shot out of the bottle and enjoyed it.  Next, since I've been on a rice-eating kick, I mixed a couple tablespoons of the stuff with a couple cups of rice and added a little greek seasoning - turned into the best homemade spanish rice I've ever had!  Very good stuff! /0g 01.04.2005

I would have to honestly say that this is the thickest hot sauce I have in the collection.  It's not exactly dangerous in it's heat.  It's flavor is pretty good though - they put allspice and portugal peppers - I imagine theyre Piri Piri style. / ?g 04.13.2004

Hawaiian Hot Sauce
[ ? ]
It's full of soybean paste, which actually gives it a sneaky kind of plum sauce flavor.  Has a bit of heat - the bottle says it would be good on sashimi.  I really enjoy unagi [japanese water eel] and this stuff tastes like it would make it taste even better! / ?g 01.04.2005

Pete's Hydrohot Hydroponic Hot Sauce - Original

This sauce is awesome - probably about the freshest tasting habanero sauce I've ever tasted!  It's made by Pete Hydrohot down in Florida.  It's a lot of fun to try this sauce and peruse his website - you can easily see the care and passion he has for peppers.  A robust and awesome sauce. / ?g 10.18.2004

I don't think I'll be using this one on steak or eggs.  However I think it will be extremely good the next time we make beef jerky - has a good flavor and a pretty mild heat, despite it's name.  Has tomatos, tomatillos, ginger and a few varieties of peppers.   / 0g

Creepin' Quag

I got this bottle in the mail from maker Bud Selmi on Christmas Eve right before I left our apartment for a weekend with friends and family.  After trying and thoroughly enjoying his Howlin' Hollar sauce [see below], I was eagerly anticipating this new concoction, which contains habaneros, cranberries and plums!  So we got to the in-laws.  Tried it on turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes.  On Christmas Day at my mom's, I had it on really good roast beast.  This is the kind of hot sauce that makes doing this site a lot of fun!  Very unique ingredients, excellent flavor - this is one I demand all of my friends try!  It also has a story about the name on the bottle!  / ?g 01.04.2005

What can I say about this fabulous elixir?  Let's start with what's in it: red & francesca habaneros, pumpkin, prickly pear cactus, passion fruit top off the list and vinegar is way at the bottom.  This stuff is like the best candy in the world!  Very unique and very good!!! / ?g 10.18.2004

Spittin' Fire
[ Website ]
This is a really interesting sauce - like the Howlin' Hollar, it has some interesting strains of habaneros: neon yellow, lemon yellow, chocolate and Red Savina.  Maker Bud Selmi grows all his own peppers and puts em together in a nice sauce.  A light sweetness and then a really good bite. / ?g 10.18.2004

Another one I purchased on eBay.  Had free shipping so couldnt resist!  A very different sauce and quite deceiving too; well, at least doesn't give out particulars.  Doesn't say what kind of peppers or any mention of peppers in the ingredients!  Does have a very decent kick to it - has 'raisin juice' as an ingredient - weird.  Tasty stuff. / 3g
