#2028: Maruchan Ramen Sopa Maruchan Sabor A Camaron, Limon Y Habanero

Here’s one I got from Paul S. – also got one from Colin. Thanks guys! What’s kind of crazy here is that this is the first Minstant noodle I’ve reviewed from Mexico (or at least made for the Mexican market). Instant noodles (fideos instantanea) are extremely popular in Mexico, as well as by the Latino population in the United States. Sopa means soup, sabor a camaron, limon y habanero means shrimp, lemon and habanero flavor. Anyways, let’s crack this sucker open!

Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp. To prepare, add noodle block to two cups boiling water and cook for three minutes. Add in contents of sachet. Stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.

The soup base sachet – this one’s known as lime chili shrimp where the US pack version is concerned.

The seasoning powder.

Finished (click to enlarge). Added large shrimp, coriander, Texas Pete hot sauce and sweet onion. The noodles hydrated nicely and have a standard domestic gauge. The broth has a nice bite to it and good shrimp flavor, although very thin. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 041789002960.
