#1812: Master Kong Mushroom Instant Noodle

There’s a new Asian Food Center on 130th & Aurora – went there hunting for some of the fruit I got to try in Thailand and found mangosteen – and quite a few instant noodle varieties, this being one of them. It’s pretty far and few between that I find Master Kong varieties – always kind of a treat! I want to thank Bobby Y. from Canada for help in translation on this one! Let’s have a look at this one from China!

Detail of the side panel (click image to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add sachets to cup and boiling water to fill line. Steep for 3-4 minutes, covered. Stir and enjoy!

Detail of the lid (click image to enlarge).

An included fork!

The noodle block.

The dry soup base.

Has a mushroom scent.

A liquid sachet.

Has a kind of meaty scent.

The vegetables sachet.

A large amount of diverse vegetables.

Finished (click image to enlarge). The noodles are hydrated to a T – just right with a nice gauge and chewiness. High quantity as well. The broth is a thick and hearty mushroom gravy kind of thing which works immensely well with the vegetables, which are full of mushrooms that hydrated very nicely – even the peas came out great. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars. Here’s Master Kong’s Braised Beef big cup – this is excellent stuff!

An interesting news story about instant noodle war!
