#1490: Nissin Soba Nissin Soba Chili Noodles With Japanese Yakisoba Sauce

This is the last of the Nissin Soba varieties that were sent to me by Scott over at Nissin Foods USA a while back – thanks again, man these have been fun! These are made by Nissin Germany and are really neat. Let’s get to it!

Here are the side panels on the cup (click image to enlarge). Contains shrimp. to prepare, open lid and take out sachets. Add in boiling water and steep 3 minutes. Using the lid, drain off water. Add in sachet contents, stir well and enjoy!

The lid with drain spouts.

Detail of the foil inner lid (click image to enlarge).

The noodle block.

A dry powder sachet. I forgot to take a picture of the bits and pieces from the bottom of the cup – lots of cabbage and shrimp in there.

Has a yakisoba sauce scent.

The liquid base.

Has a kind of spicy scent.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Decided to just have them with no garnish today. The noodles are thin and came out pretty well. The flavor is that of your standard yakisoba, but with a pretty interesting kick to it – which works well. The cabbage and shrimp hydrated well and were good. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 5997523313135.

Oh man – this is a good one. Worth a try if you like yakisoba!

My favorite German export, Kraftwerk.

  1. Ehm, shrimp and powdered seasoning? They only have cabbage and only the liquid sauce nowadays. Still a decent yakisoba.
