#969: Meet The Manufacturer: Annie Chun’s Soup Bowl Vietnamese Pho

Here we go with some more Annie Chun’s product! This one’s Vietnamese Pho, a flavor I have enjoyed dining out and dining in. Let’s see how this version of Pho does!

Here’s the back and side panel details (click image to enlarge).

The noodle pack.

Liquid soup base.

Has a nice beef scent.

Another one of these seasoning blocks!

I am so fascinated by these things. The re hydrate so nicely.

Finished (click image to enlarge). Added some Apinya Thai Chilli Sauce. The noodles are nice – good chew and very fresh. I found them interesting though as they’re wheat noodles instead of the traditional rice noodles one would find in pho. The broth is really quite good! Nice beef taste and sweet basil and other spices are there – very good! The seasoning block unleashed a lot of nice veggies! All in all, I’m quite enthused! 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. 1. I had this for lunch today. It wasnt that great, I cooked it according to the package directions. The noodles didnt loosen up and clumped together, it wasnt all that enjoyable to eat blocks of noodles. The broth has some of that rich, beef flavor that I remember from Pho, but was kinda bland, though I added a lot of water. I added some Huey Fong Chili Garlic Sauce( a favorite condiment for Ramen) and some lemon juice which I think overhwelmed the broth’s flavor a bit. However I think I’d eat it again. Annie Chun has nice noodle products in general. Maybe going to try the Thai Tom Yum flavor next
