#511: Menraku Japanese Ramen “Miso” Authentic Ramen Soup

I woke up with a sore throat, runny nose, sore joints and a bit of sneezing. I’m sick. This sucks. I thought maybe some miso would bring me back from the brink. I guess we’ll see how it goes…

On the left we have a big packet of veggies and seasoning powder. On the right, a liquid packet.

So the liquid is a miso paste. Quite an interesting earthy flavor – got some on my finger and tried it straight!

Not too bad, however not my favorite of the Menraku varieties I’ve had so far. The miso flavor was a little funky. The noodles were good and the veggies were superior – the corn was actually crunchy and fresh taste! All good for the most part. Just not super awesome. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars. Get it here.

  1. Have you ever considered eating with a chinese style spoon and chopsticks? Its more authentic and fun too! I even got this cool chinese bowl thats got a lid to it so I can steep the noodles. There are some dinnerware sets that are really quite beautiful. Not the junky wooden chopsticks you get from takeout.
