#453: Nongshim Savory Bowl Noodle Chicken Flavored Noodle Soup

So I thought I’d tried every single variety of these but I found yet another in California! This is just chicken – not spicy chicken. So here we go with the noodling!

A single packet of dry powdered seasoning.

Look at that! A mountain of powdered soup base! The veggies were hiding underneath the noodle block.

The picture reminds me of the old Dairy Queen commercials in which there was a mountain range made from chocolate with rivers of chocolate, caramel and strawberry syrups rolling down them and meadows of whipped cream and forests of peanuts. It was magnificent!

I remember how much I enjoyed these when I reviewed them before (that is, the Beef & Ginger, Lobster, Hot & Spicy, Kimchi and spicy chicken). This one was good – worth 3.25 out of 5.0 stars.

So Nong Shim recently got in a little trouble with claims that their campaign for Shin Ramyun Black were misleading. Some people thought it was supposed to be healthierand it really wasn’t. Also, it cost two to three times as much. Anyways, here’s a commercial for it and then a kind of parody commercial afterwards

I guess I remembered it a little wrong but yeah this is the commercial I was mentioning earlier… I like the logo sculpted into the side of the thing. I wonder if any of that is actually chocolate because I saw a documentary showing food photographers using hairspray and shellac on french fries…

This is something fun to watch so enjoy.
