#1641: One Dish Asia Japanese Ramen Noodle

Here’s one that’s spent a little time in my noodle hamper. I’ve been wondering what flavor it might be, although it really doesn’t say. It’s manufactured in Thailand, but definitely for the US market. Let’s check out this microwavable instant ramen.

Here’s detail of the side panels (click image to enlarge). Contains fish. To prepare, put noodle and soup sachet contents in the supplied bowl. Add 200ml water. Put lid back on loosely and microwave for 4 minutes. Stir and enjoy!

An interesting included spork! Just slide the end into the stem!

The fresh noodle pouch.

A simply enormous liquid soup base sachet.

Finished (click image to enlarge). To start off, the noodles aren’t too bad, but they’re not great. They didn’t have a very fresh texture; more mushy. The bamboo shoots (which more resembled overcooked carrot and I had to consult the ingredients to figure what they were) were mushy as well. The broth had an acidic and a flavor reminiscent of the teriyaki flavor I’ve encountered in bad teriyaki instant flavors. A hot mess. 0.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 885413000379.
